Discovering Your Child™
We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget he is someone today.
Parenting is a journey of love, but it’s also a journey of discovery.
Discovering Your Child (DYC) is your compassionate guide to understanding the unique individual growing right before your eyes. We move beyond one-size-fits-all advice to help you observe and appreciate your child’s distinct temperament, learning style, innate strengths, and emotional needs. Whether you are navigating the toddler years, the tween years, or the tumultuous teenage phase, our resources are designed to deepen the bond you share. Here, you will find insights and practical tools to help you listen a little closer, understand a little deeper, and nurture the confidence your child needs to thrive—not as who you expect them to be, but as who they are truly meant to become.

Meet KH Koh:
A Guide for Your Child’s Journey of Discovery
As parents, we all share the same heartfelt wish: to see our children grow into confident, resilient, and purposeful individuals. We want to understand who they are beneath the surface and give them the tools to navigate life’s challenges. That’s where KH Koh’s remarkable journey becomes your family’s greatest asset.
KH’s path to becoming a mentor for young people is as unique as it is inspiring. It began not in a classroom, but in the real world, giving him a profound understanding of how people—both young and old—learn, grow, and transform.
A Unique Blend of Experience
For over a decade, KH has been a pioneer in experiential learning. He was instrumental in the early years of the Malaysian National Service Training, where he served as a facilitator for the “Training of Trainers” and a quality supervisor for the crucial Character-Building Component. This wasn’t just about teaching; it was about helping thousands of young Malaysians discover their inner strength, values, and potential at a pivotal age.
This passion for guiding growth led him to co-found Heart Knocks Sdn Bhd, a company dedicated to “A Curriculum for Full Living.” He designs programmes that aren’t just about skills, but about holistic personal growth—the very foundation your child needs to thrive in school and in life.
The Wisdom of Mentorship
But what gives KH a truly special insight into development? His “previous life” as a lawyer and legal educator. For 25 years, he practised law, and then spent 13 years training and coaching young lawyers.
Think about that. He spent over a decade bridging the gap between academic theory and real-world practice. He specialised in taking bright, educated young adults and helping them build the confidence, practical skills, and mindset needed to succeed professionally. He has mentored and coached individuals at every stage of their career, from anxious beginners to senior professionals looking to reinvent themselves. This has given him an unparalleled understanding of the challenges young people face as they step into the world, and the foundational qualities they need now to flourish later.
Why Parents Trust Him
KH’s approach is grounded in patience, deep experience, and a genuine understanding of human potential. He has consulted for major institutions like the Central Bank of Malaysia, proving his ability to solve complex problems and build effective systems for growth.
KH is a father himself, with two grown children. He doesn’t just understand development in theory; he has lived it. He knows the joys, the worries, and the profound love that drives every parent’s decisions.
You will find a mentor who combines the wisdom of a parent, the insight of a coach, and the experience of an educator who has guided hundreds of young people toward discovering who they are and who they can become.
